Cocaine Detox and Rehab

For anyone serious about quitting cocaine, a cocaine detox is the first step. No one should suffer through cocaine withdrawal without specialized medical support. Cocaine addiction and use profoundly alters brain chemistry. The most effective way of quitting for good begins with a medical detox followed by residential addiction treatment.

The first-class medication-assisted cocaine detox we provide at Clear Path Recovery is designed to directly counteract the physical symptoms of cocaine withdrawal. The comprehensive residential treatment program we offer afterwards addresses the mental health aspects of addiction to help you begin a life in recovery.

Why You Want a Medical Detox From Cocaine

When cocaine use stops, the brain suddenly finds itself imbalanced. The chemicals that normally help you feel good, regulate your mood and thinking are all depleted. The result is depression, anxiety, fatigue, trouble concentrating, even paranoia.

Trying to quit cocaine at home on your own is a mistake. Not only does it mean needless suffering—research shows that you’re more likely to relapse if you quit without medical support and addiction treatment.

Clear Path Recovery’s cocaine detox offers a gentler start to recovery with tailored protocols that ease withdrawal symptoms. You’ll have 24/7 care from expert clinical staff, who monitor hydration, restore vital nutrients, and support the restful sleep your body needs to heal.

Once you have the facts, going to cocaine detox is an easy decision:

  • Cocaine use depletes key neurotransmitters leading to intense withdrawal.
  • The discomfort of cocaine withdrawal makes it hard to get the rest you need.
  • Our medication-assisted cocaine detox directly counteracts withdrawal symptoms.
  • In detox, you also get the nutrition, hydration, sleep and medical supervision you need.

What Is Residential Treatment for Cocaine Addiction Like?

Clear Path Recovery Center’s residential cocaine addiction program is crafted to give you a jump start on your recovery. Our program is holistic and evidence-based. In simple terms, that means we treat mind, body and spirit here and we rely on treatments backed by clinical research.

Our addiction-specific mental health therapies are designed to help you discover the roots of your addiction, your personal triggers, and help you adopt healthier ways of improving your mood and energy and reducing stress without using cocaine, alcohol or other substances.

Clear Path Recovery is a dual-diagnosis treatment center. This means that, in addition to substance use disorders, we also address the mental health conditions that often accompany addiction to cocaine.

They can include everything from depression to anxiety, trauma, even previously undiagnosed PTSD. This is an essential part of comprehensive addiction treatment as untreated co-occurring disorders are a common cause of relapse.

Why going to rehab after cocaine detox is the smart choice:

  • A cocaine detox can’t help you resolve core emotional issues contributing to addiction.
  • Dual-diagnosis treatment helps lower your risk of relapse and eases cocaine cravings.
  • Residential treatment brings structure, coping skills, and relapse prevention planning
  • A complete treatment plan substantially improves the odds of successful recovery.

How Do You Know If Someone is Addicted to Cocaine?

First, cocaine is a dangerous, addictive stimulant. There’s no safe level of cocaine use. Cocaine addiction pushes aside the people and priorities that once mattered, reordering a person’s life around seeking and using the drug.

At first, hobbies or friendships may be neglected. But as addiction deepens, it consumes everything: relationships, career, finances, even family. Eventually, cocaine becomes more important than anything else.

Changing priorities to put a drug or behavior ahead of other things that matter is a major red flag for addiction. If you or someone you care about is sacrificing what matters just to get and use the drug, the signs are clear—there’s a strong chance addiction has taken hold.

Am I Addicted to Cocaine — Self Test

  • Do you hide or lie about your use?
  • Have you tried to quit cocaine unsuccessfully?
  • Do you feel strong cravings when not using?
  • Do you use cocaine more often than you planned?
  • Has anyone said they were worried about your use?
  • Do you need to use more than you used to to get the same effect?
  • Have you missed work or school because of cocaine use?
  • Do you spend a lot of time thinking about getting or using cocaine?
  • Do you use it despite negative consequences?
  • Has cocaine affected your relationships or finances?

How Does Cocaine Detox Work?
Where Do I Start?

Chronic cocaine use overstimulates your nervous system and disrupts your brain’s chemical balance. Key neurotransmitters: dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine are all profoundly affected. When use stops, your body struggles to adjust, often triggering withdrawal symptoms like deep fatigue, restlessness, depression, irritability, and intense cravings.

At Clear Path Recovery Center in Missouri, our cocaine detox program offers 24/7 medical supervision and personalized care from the very beginning. It all starts with a confidential phone screening and intake evaluation, leading to a customized detox and treatment plan.
Once admitted, our clinical team monitors your vitals, supports mental and emotional stabilization, and provides hydration, nutritional support, and sleep restoration—laying the groundwork for lasting recovery.

Talking to A Loved One About Cocaine Addiction

Watching someone you care about grapple with substance abuse can be painful and frustrating. It’s easy to feel like you’re powerless against the monster of cocaine addiction, but you’re not.

Ultimately, the person with the problem will have to make a decision to accept help—but there’s a lot more that you can do to help them get there than you might realize. Simply talking to them and listening without judgment is a great start. Try to tame your anger and instead frame the addiction as a problem you will both solve together. It’s not you against them. It’s both of you against addiction.

Patience, love and tolerance go a long way here. That doesn’t mean you have tolerate cocaine use. You don’t and you shouldn’t. But it does mean you should be prepared for some resistance to the idea of drug treatment at first. The most important thing is to keep the channel of communication open. Keep talking.

Cocaine Addiction and Treatment Facts:

  • In 2023, the rate of cocaine overdose deaths in the U.S. rose 4.9%.
  • 74.2% of cocaine-rated overdose deaths also involved opioids, esp. fentanyl.
  • Cocaine addiction accounts for about 5% of rehab admissions in America.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is proven effective in treating cocaine addiction.

When is it Time for an Intervention?

If the situation is dangerous and your loved one isn’t showing any signs of willingness to accept help, you might consider staging an intervention. This is best done with a professional interventionist, you are welcome to call us for a referral.

If that’s not an option, a family intervention led by a trusted figure, like a pastor, coach or favorite teacher can also be effective as long as it’s well-planned and everyone understands their role and holds the line.

Start with a good book about intervention so you understand the principles and and formulate a solid plan. We recommend Love First: A Family’s Guide to Intervention by Jeff and Debra Jay.

Detox and Rehab Admissions FAQs

Here are answers to some of the most common questions we are asked about our admissions process or policies.

Our discounted self-pay rate for detox is $_____ per day. The length of stay in our detox program will vary from patient to patient and substance to substance. There are many variables, so we cannot guarantee you a detox will be complete within “X” number of days and your total cost will be “Y”.

Please give us a call at (000) 000-0000 if you have any further questions about self-paying for detox or rehab at Clear Path.

Just about any drug of abuse you can think of. There are too many to list here, but they include: alcohol, opioids (oxycodone, hydrocodone), opiates (morphine, heroin), benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin), sleep aids (Ambien, Lunesta), crystal meth, cocaine, flakka, spice/K2, NBOMe (N-bombs), Xylazine,

It is important for prospective Clear Path patients and family members to follow our admissions procedure. This helps us maintain a peaceful therapeutic environment and protect patient privacy.

Before anyone can be admitted to Clear Path Recovery Center, they must:

  1. Have insurance verification and approval (or self-pay)
  2. Have completed a pre-admit phone screening with us.
  3. Have been approved for admission by our Clinical Director

For the safety of patients and staff and legal compliance there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

The simplest, safest way to admit to Clear Path detox this is to call us first so we can put the wheels in motion for you. If you have a medical emergency, i.e. someone is seizing, overdosing or unresponsive—-CALL 911 immediately.

For patient safety and security, Clear Path must ask that you leave workout supplements, herbal supplements, vitamins and over the counter medication at home. These substances often have ingredients that can interact with medications we may prescribe.

We must also be aware that others may have allergies. We have over the counter medications here for your use, if there’s anything of that nature you require and it’s within your treatment protocol, we will see that you get it.

Remember the reason you or your loved one is here is for medical treatment and help. Every policy we have was put in place with your best interests in mind. We recommend bringing simple, comfortable clothing that’s easy to wash and wear. Revealing clothing is inappropriate and may make others uncomfortable. Leaving jewelry and excess cosmetics at home helps keep things simple and avoid any potential loss, theft or misunderstandings.
