Addiction Treatment

A Better Way Forward for Addiction Treatment
At Clear Path Recovery Center, our addiction treatment program is built on a rock-solid foundation of proven, evidence-based care. This means we treat substance use disorders using the tools proven effective by clinical research. It also means we pay attention to results and we never shy away from innovation.
We aim to be nothing less than the best alcohol and drug rehab in Missouri. That calls for leadership. One of the ways we’re leading the pack among Missouri rehabs is our Integrated Treatment Philosophy. This begins with solid dual-diagnosis treatment, made uniquely personal by our holistic approach. We tie it all together to help ensure lasting recovery by investing in personal empowerment.
Our 3-Part Integrated Treatment Philosophy in a Nutshell
We treat addiction and mental health disorders, like depression together. Our treatment approach focuses on hearts and minds, not just bodies. We don’t just help get you healthy and sober—-we give you tools to stay that way and the confidence and knowledge to use them.

Answers to Your Questions About Addiction Treatment
Do I (or does my loved one) need detox?
Detox is needed when a person is drinking or using enough of a drug to have withdrawal symptoms when they stop. Although not everyone in addiction treatment needs a medical detox, most do. We offer medically supervised detox primarily for safety and comfort.
Please note, the ‘cold turkey’ method can be dangerous or even fatal. Research also indicates you’re more likely to remain drug-free if you opt for treatment instead of quitting cold turkey. We strongly recommend following medical advice.
Will my health insurance pay for alcohol and drug rehab in Missouri?
It should cover at least some of your costs, yes. We work with most major health insurance companies. The easiest way to find out if your plan would cover treatment at Clear Path is to call us, or enter your insurance through this secure form.
We’ll verify your benefits and reach back out to you to let you know what’s covered and we can take it from there. No strings attached. If we can’t accept your insurance here, we can discuss payment options or we’ll be happy to offer you an appropriate referral. We regret that we cannot work with MO HealthNet (Missouri Medicaid) at this time.
How long is the alcohol and drug program at Clear Path Recovery?
The length of stay varies between patients and depends on their needs. We strive to see that every person we treat gets nothing less than the help they need and deserve. Generally speaking though, alcohol or drug detox can last anywhere from 7-14 days.
It’s usually on the lower end of that range, but it can sometimes be even longer in extreme cases such as long-term, high dose benzodiazepine or methadone use. The residential phase may last anywhere from 4-6 weeks depending on needs (and willingness).
Won’t I lose my job if I go to rehab?
No, not necessarily. If you are eligible, you can use the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) to take up to 12 weeks (3 months) of unpaid leave per year for medical reasons. That includes drugs and alcohol treatment. You can learn more about using FMLA on this page.
Also, bear in mind that continuing in addiction may cost you your job anyway. If you’d like some guidance on how to talk to your HR department about using FMLA to come to Clear Path, give us a call.
What is a day in alcohol and drug treatment like at Clear Path Recovery?
What you’ll do in treatment will depend on a few factors. For example, if you’re in medical detox, your time will be more focused on rest and recovery, but you can begin taking in some therapy and other activities as you feel better.
Your days in residential addiction treatment will include a combination of individual therapy, group counseling, specialty groups for specific needs, such as relapse prevention, or anger management as well as communal meal times, recreation, games and other activities.
